Chasing the light in Iceland

Iceland earns the attention on its contrasts: from soft puffins to brutal waterfalls, and from barren plains to giant cliffs. I recorded the landscape twice here and was a traveller of wonder. A must for every photographer!

What a landscape!
Completing the Ring Road, you encounter all kind of landscapes! It is impressive and humiliating! With black sand beaches, rust coloured mountains and fresh mos. Every day, hour and minute a change in the weather… Every corner in the road gives a new vista! Just WOW!
Waterfalls
The waterfalls of Iceland… you feel their spray and hear them before you even see them! They cut through the landscape from the vast glaciers to the surrounding sea. What a presence! Incredible!
Puffins
They are the soul of Iceland’s cliffs. Small bodies with bold beaks and flapping against galeforce winds while trying to beat gravity. I watched them hover, pause, dip and being great parents. They look fragile but at the same time are fearless!!
