The Netherlands
Favourite number one for me is still my home country!
There are so many beautiful spots in The Netherlands! I love to go everywhere with my car, especially in the morning when everything is starting up, including the landscape.
Bolivia
From 2004 up to 2005 I lived for various months in Bolivia to do my internship.
In 2006 I revisited Bolivia for a couple of weeks to visit all kinds of places in the heart of Bolivia and in 2008 I visited the great north eastern part, especially the table mountain area of Parque Noell Kempff.
You can say, Bolivia has a special place in my heart! While most tourists go to the countries around Bolivia, Bolivia itself is such a great and photogenic country!
Very recently, an opportunity opened up with TRVL Photography to return to Bolivia. Not only to photograph the country, but to actually lead a photo tour of 14 photographers! And to really show the amazing highlights of the country!
Burg Eltz in Germany
A castle that asked for a special dedicated trip to that that ONE shot of it. One evening and three pre-sunrise hikes up the hill to try and make the perfect shot of this mystical castle. It was worth it!

Iceland
I visited Iceland twice now. The first time with my wife on our honeymoon on our way to New York and the second time with a dedicated photo trip of Brendan van Son and Greg Snell. On that trip we reversed our clocks, living during the night and sleeping during the day in tents. Enjoying the perfect light with the longest days in June.

Porto in Portugal
Located near the coast in the mid of the country, is Porto. I went there with a group of 8 photographers to shoot the sunrise and sunsets in and over the city. What a great atmosphere! The sunrise shoots were early… a consequence of visiting the city in June :-).

Austria
Since I was a little kid, I have gone on holiday to Austria. That gave me the awe for the mountains, I think! The vista’s in Austria are just breathtaking and they are so great to photograph! Seemingly endless valleys, cows, snow and hilly meadows! Please bring me back there!!

Antwerp in Belgium
Belgium… the country that has a split personality. Everywhere you see contrast in Belgium and one of the greatest cities to visualize this, is Antwerp. We love going there and on one of those trips, I want all-in for black and white photography to show this contrast! What a blast!
